The Okayama Friendship Garden is also called the Japanese Garden. The design is inspired from the ‘Korakuen Garden’, a well-known place in Okayama in Japan.
The Okayama Friendship Garden was renamed as Pu La Deshpande Garden after the veteran writer's death in 2000 to give him a tribute for his outstanding contribution to literature.
A wide area of around 10 acres has been occupied by the garden which represents, the modern structure and the heritage culture of an authentic Japanese Garden.
If you are in Pune during spring then you should not miss out visiting this amazing place. The garden’s artificial lake is one of the major attractions for the visitors.
