The phenomenon called Baahubali has made a lasting impact all over the nation in one form or the other. This time it is Pune Police who are trying to engage Punekars by posting creative articles and memes on social media.
This is not the first time that Pune Police has come up with such quirky ideas- in a very recent act Yamraj was seen roaming the streets of Pune. In order to foster their reach on social media platforms, memes and popular dialogues from popular movies like Sairat and Baahubali have been recreated with Puneri tadka.
Previously Mumbai and Bengaluru police also implemented such innovative ways to captivate youth's attention with the objective of conveying the importance of traffic rules and regulations.
Here are some creative strategies that created a buzz:
When asked the reason behind this idea Rashmi Shukla, Commissioner of Police said,
We started out with plain and simple messages to share the seriousness of the issues. But now we will add a dash of humour, use memes and puns to make it more interesting without losing the essence of the message. We have observed that such messages leave a lasting impression on the citizens' minds.
Youth are the influencers who will represent a better India for the next generation but for that, someone needs to hammer their mind with basic rules and regulations that aren’t seen to be followed. To orient them more into this Sudhir Hiremath, current DCP (Cyber-crime) said,
Moving ahead we will be visiting college campuses and organising activities in order to make students aware about our initiatives and social media presence.
