Dharmil Chandrakant Halvadia, a student of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) has brought laurels to the film educational institute. The final year student of the institute was recently presented with the esteemed Dolby Scholarship for the year 2017.
The scholarship is awarded every year to the second year topper of the sound recording and sound design course at FTII. A sum of 500-pound sterling was offered to the awardee.
Bhupendra Kainthola, the director of the institute, handed over the scholarship cheque to Dharmil in a small ceremony. K. M. Harish, the head of the sound recording and sound design department, was also present at the occasion.
Hailing from the culturally rich town of Rajkot of Gujrat, Dharmil is a student of 2013 batch. He is an engineering graduate who holds a degree in electronics and communication from Dharmsingh Desai University, Nadiad, Gujarat.
At the felicitation ceremony, Kainthola said, “Dharmil has consistently been a bright student. Academic excellence made him stand out among his peers. He is known for his hardworking nature and relentless pursuit of excellence.”
The Dolby Scholarship was established at the FTII in the year 2005.
