Murder of an Infosys employee Rasila Raju, 24, on Sunday by a security guard has yet again raised questions about the security of Women in India. After an awful mass molestation case in Bengaluru during New Year Celebration, this brutal murder case of Infosys employee in her own office shows that the women are not safe in India.
According to some media, Raju was found dead in a conference room of the company in Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park at Hinjawadi in Pune. Police have arrested the accused Bhaven Bharali Saikiya, 27, in connection with the murder. Raju was from Kerala and was working as a system engineer with the company.
This is the second such incident in last two months. Before this, Antara Das, 25, working at Capgemini, was stabbed to death while returning home. Incidents like these are a wake-up call for the police and companies who consistently fail to provide security to their employees.
