Google will showcase a picture created by 11-year old Anvita Telang as it’s doodle on the occasion of children’s day this year. Anvita Telang was declared the national winner of Doodle 4 Google India 2016 competition. Her drawing unde the theme ‘If I could teach anyone anything, it would be’ got more than 100,000 votes over 10 days. Her drawing illustrated greeneries, water life and balloons with a simple message that people should enjoy every moment.
Google runs this competition every year since 2009 in India. India’s head of marketing told the Indian Express “We are overwhelmed to see great participation from talented and creative young artists year-on-year since 2009. With Doodle 4 Google competition, we aim to celebrate and promote creativity, passion and imagination in our younger users.” The judges for this year were cartoonist Ajit Ninan, Art Director Savio Mascarenhas and Google Doodle Team’s lead Ryan Germick.
