Ticket Checker From Nagpur Returned An Anonymous Bag Full Of Jewellery Found On Train

On Sunday, the April 16, Deputy Chief Ticket Inspector of Nagpur Division Ritesh Inumula was aboard the Mumbai-Howrah Mail and found an anonymous bag. He immediately submitted it to the railway police which turned out valuable.

Reportedly, he was informed about the bag by some passenger traveling in S4 coach when the train was nearing Bisalpur. Since the bag looked suspicious, no passenger touched it.

Inumula handed over the bag to the staff at the Bilaspur station and filed a complaint. The bag contained an I-card, gold bangles and ring, a cell phone and some cosmetics.

According to PNR status, a couple traveled on the berths where the bag was found. The couple had boarded the train from CSTM and had stopped at Nagpur.

According to sources, the bag is now in police custody and they are trying to find the owner through the cell phone.

They will also try to find the details submitted at Mumbai from where the ticket was booked.
