PM Narendra Modi will be addressing the students of all schools and junior colleges on the topic of handling exam pressure. The special address will be broadcasted live on February 16. The state education department has directed all the schools and colleges to make arrangements for the same.
The schools have been requested to assemble students of Std IX-XII to make them listen to the broadcast. The program will be aired at 11 pm and will last for an hour. Along with the talk, PM Modi will also address students’ queries. The students who wish to ask any question will have to post the same on a particular website. Modi will answer a selective few that will be of utmost priority.
Doordarshan and All India Radio will air the show for a wider reach across the country. The government is also planning to use the avenue of social media such as Facebook and YouTube, along with TV and radio.
This is not the first time PM Modi will be addressing school students. He has delivered a talk on the occasion of Teachers’ Day before, which too was broadcasted in schools. Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is another popular broadcast where he talks about various other topics on the radio.
With board exams round the corner, PM’s lecture will clash with the practical examinations at quite some schools and colleges. But since every school chalks out its own schedule of practical exams, accommodating Modi’s speech will not be an issue per se. The education department has instructed the schools to adjust their schedule in order to avoid clashes with Modi’s speech.
The state education department wrote a letter to the institutions making it evident that PM Modi is eager to deliver a talk to the students before they face their exams for the year. All education officers were made in sync with the directives and asked to pass down the same to all the schools. The officers will have to inform the principals and help in making the broadcast a smooth event along.
The onus of arranging the necessary equipment for broadcast shall, however, lie on the school.
