The city welcomed Science Express Climate Action Special (SECAS), today at the Nagpur Railway Station. This is a special train that emphasizes on the global challenge of climate change. The express will be in the city from July 30 to August 2.
This in-train exhibition aims at creating awareness about the environment. The train has reached Nagpur after traveling across various cities. It will move to Amla station where it will take a halt from August 4 to August 6.

This Science Express is on its national tour since February 17, 2017, currently, the train is on its IX phase.
Science Express comes under the flagship program of Department of science & technology (DST). This is a unique and ingenious mobile science exhibition mounted on a 16-coach AC train, traveling across India since October 2007.
The train has completed eight tours of the country by traveling about 1.53 lakh km and exhibiting at 495 locations. The train has received an overwhelming response with 1.64 crore visitors over its 1,712 exhibitions.
