Two new bus routes have been announced by the transport department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation. The routes are Godhani to Pardi via Gandhibagh and Godhani to Bahadura Phata through Gandhibagh, Ring Road and Dighori.
The buses have been already flagged off on Thursday and are open to passengers from today. The flag off ceremony saw the presence of standing committee chairman Sandip Jadhav, corporators Bhushan Shingne, Archana Pathak and transport manager Shivaji Jagtap.
"The new routes were started considering demands of citizens who had to change buses to reach these destinations," Bunty Kukde, Transport Committee Chairman in an interview to TOI.
The full ticket fare for Pardi is Rs 30 and for a half ticket, one has to pay Rs 15. Similarly, for Bahadura Phata the full ticket fare will be Rs 34 and Rs 17 for half ticket.
The buses will complete three trips from Godhani-Pardi and Godhani-Bahadura Phata routes and also 12 trips between Godhani and Gandhibagh, every day.
