In the wake of developing the city’s youngsters into a bunch of empowering youth and bringing about the much-required change in the society, Fortune Foundation, a non-profit organization had initiated a summit called ‘Youth Empowerment Summit (YES)’.
The summit has been successfully played a role in making Nagpur’s youth into change-makers since three years now. This year too, the event will be held from February 22nd to 24th at the Vasantrao Deshpande Hall.
YES’ vision of bringing about a change in order to create a pool of opportunities for our dynamic youngsters has been supported by some stalwart companies of the government sector. Companies such as JNPT, MOIL, LIC, Coal India etc have partnered with the Fortune Foundation. Other such as MIHAN, Nagpur Metro, and NMC have also collaborated for the summit.
According to the data, in the previous year around 35,000 youngsters were benefitted from the summit. The foundation looks forward to having a steep rise in the numbers this year.
The event will be inaugurated by Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India and Sambhaji Patil Nilangekar, Minister of Labour skill development, Government of India. Around 25 chief guests and speakers will be seen gracing the event, talking on the matter and imparting wisdom. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and other political figures such as Hansraj Ahir, Sudhir Mungantiwar, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore etc. will also be present.
For each of three days of the event, various topics of similar interests will be covered. The schedule for the same can be found on the website.
Registrations for the summit are open on the website. Students, working professionals, and youngsters from all walks of life can attend this summit by registering on the site.
With so many initiatives being taken to develop Nagpur and its youth, it sure looks like some 'Acche Din' are knocking on our doors.
