When you enter the Ajni railway station, anytime soon, you’ll find bright and colourful walls pillars instead of the usual grimy tobacco stains. This miraculous change is brought by Priyanka Wankhede, a Nagpur-based artist who currently lives in Mumbai.
Priyanka's urge to give a makeover to her hometown has led to this transformation.
Hence, in the last week of the March, she approached the local railway officials with this idea, which they approved immediately and gave the green signal.
After the approval, Priyanka initiated the project single handedly and started with giving a new look to the compound walls.
Even the steps leading to foot-over-bridge is also painted with vibrant colours.
She captured all the happenings of Nagpur, like the upcoming metro rail, the Zero Mile monument and also the history of the city.
Her next target is to paint the cooling towers of Koradi Thermal Power Plant (KTPS).
Keep up the good work, Priyanka!
