In one such event of turmoil, a woman delivered a healthy baby girl inside a bank in Kanpur Dehat district of Uttar Pradesh while she was waiting in queue with her mother-in-law to withdraw cash on Friday. Sarvesha (30) was unable to withdraw cash on Thursday and was reportedly waiting in a long queue since morning for the second time in two days, when on Friday at around 4pm she underwent labor. Some other women present at the spot helped Sarvesha deliver her baby when an ambulance did not reach on time at the Punjab National Bank’s Jhinjhak branch.
Sarvesha’s husband died this year in an accident in September and she along with her mother-in-law wanted to withdraw the first compensation of Rs 2.75 Lakhs allotted to her by the government.
