Virat Kohli Dismissed ‘Hit-Wicket’ Against England!

Virat Kohli falls prey to rare form of dismissal.

India’s star batsman Virat Kohli got dismissed in a rare and unfortunate fashion against England on the fourth day of the first test at Rajkot. Just when we thought that the ‘great’ Kohli was immune to committing errors, he was dismissed ‘Hit-Wicket’ while trying to pull a short ball off leg spinner Adil Rashid. It looked like Virat was all set and ready to take the attack to the opposition but a momentary loss of concentration led to him getting dismissed in a rare fashion.

Since Lala Amarnath in 1949, Virat Kohli is the first Indian Test Captain to be out in this manner. Kohli also became the first Indian batsman to be out hit-wicket in 14 years; the last batsman being VVS Laxman against West Indies. As usual, Virat was extremely disappointed after his unusual dismissal.
