In a recent interview, the current UFC lightweight champion Conor Mcgregor denied the rumours of him having a cameo role in one of the two remaining seasons of HBO’s most popular TV series - Game of Thrones.

Mcgregor, however, confirmed that he was visited by people from HBO right after a fight, offering some sort of a potential role before the rumours began.

“I’m not trying to be in show business, I’m trying to be in the fight business”, Mcgregor said. “Come at me with a real number to fight again. So that was the only time I ever heard the (words) Games of Thrones”.

Reportedly, the UFC lightweight champ also turned down an offer to appear at this year’s Wrestlemania which is scheduled on April 2 in Orlando, Florida, despite being offered a massive deal.

With or without Mcgregor, the season 7 of Game of Thrones is set to premiere in summer 2017 and we certainly can’t wait.
