The sad death of Jayalalithaa has shook the whole nation and the situation in south is the worst. This is why the state authorities have been sharp-eyed to prevent any type of violence. The police forces had to deploy extra personnel to maintain peace and order in the state.

The state has come to a halt as people have lined up to bid their goodbyes and tributes to their dear ‘Amma’.

Due to this police have been extending their duty hours from last couple of days. Under the circumstances, the Chennai office of ‘The Hindu’ newspaper provided free refreshments to the police officers who were on duty. A picture was shared by an employee of the newspaper.
