Believe it or not, we live in a day and age where people like Kamaal R Khan (KRK) are considered “film critics”. Take a gander at his visage.

Yes, the stud-muffin pictured above calls himself a “brand”, a “respected film critic” and the like.

For the past couple of days, he had been taking every opportunity to trounce Shivaay which will be releasing this Diwali alongside Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

But last night, all hell broke loose when Ajay Devgn, the director and star of Shivaay released an audio clip. It is a conversation between KRK and Kumar Mangat, the producer of Shivaay.

Well, we all heard him saying that he has received Rs. 25 lakh for negatively publicizing Shivaay. He did not take any names, of course. That would have made this even more interesting, no?

However, Mangat himself offers KRK money to portray Shivaay  in good light, something which KRK doesn’t say anything about.

Following the release of the clip, KRK took to Twitter saying that he hasn’t received any money from anyone (read: Karan Johar) and quoted the amount to get off the phone with Mangat.

He went on to bash both Mangat and Devgn by accusing them of trying to bribe him instead.

And of course, as you would expect him to do, he praised himself in the most humble manner possible.

A caution from him:

And a lovely message on life (for free, mind you)

Meanwhile, Karan Johar is yet to comment on the matter. Although his close friend and Devgn’s wife, Kajol tweeted this today.

Ah! The sweet smell of napalm in the morning! Expect more fireworks as Diwali draws closer.
