Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav is one of those few political personalities who actually qualify as the “young faces” of governance. At 26, this son of former CM’s Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi is one of Bihar’s most eligible bachelors.
Now if you’re smirking at this epithet, we have solid evidence.
Tejashwi Yadav recently shared a Whatsapp number for reporting damaged roads to the Public Works Department. This number would enable people to send text messages, and also send pictures of dilapidated roads to accelerate repairs.
The single ladies of Bihar (and even surrounding areas), however, took this opportunity to reach out to the minister himself.
Tejashwi Yadav received 44,000 messages from women proposing marriage.
The messages read like matrimonial advertisements, with women specifying their age, gotra, caste, complexion and other details.
A girl from Patna wrote: "In gotra I am superior, however I'm ready to marry you. I've finished my schooling from St. Joseph's School and am eager to continue my career in politics along with you." (Editor’s note: Such magnanimity! I’d marry her!)
Following this, the cricketer-turned-minister clarified that the Whatsapp number was not his personal line and connected to a dedicated team for civic infrastructure.
Hard luck, ladies!
