Someone truly said, "Love is not about how much you say ‘I Love You’ but how much you can prove that it’s true".
When it comes to love stories we have some of the most iconic examples of love and lovers in this world, either talk about Romeo Juliet, Laila Majnu, Shirin Farhad and how can we forget the most epic and the epitome of love and promises the story of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz. One thing that is common in all these stories is the unvarnished love between them.
Whenever we hear about these kinds of stories we always think, is it possible to love someone more than anything in the world? Is it possible to love a person even if he or she is no more, especially in today’s time?
Well, Faizul Hasan Qadri’s tale will make you believe in love all over again.
This grizzled retired postmaster has proved that love is not bounded by time or existence, which he proved when he actually built a mini-Taj Mahal in the memory of his beloved wife.
Qadri constructed a replica of 17th century’s iconic monument in 2011 in Kaser Kalan village in Uttar Pradesh.
Qadri married his love Tajamulli in 1953 and spent a happy life. They didn’t have any children and when Tajamulli expressed her sorrow, that after their death their names will vanish with then, Qadri promised her that he will build a tomb in the center of their farm so that their love will be remembered by people even after their death.
When Tajamulli died due to throat cancer in 2011, Qadri, as promised to his beloved wife, devoted all his finances in setting up this tomb to personify his love for her.
Qadri had spent over Rs 14 lakh to build this tomb, which includes provident fund and gratuity.
Many people offered Qadri money to build the tomb but he refused and said, "This is my personal endeavor for my late wife and embodies my love for her. So I should do this on my own".
Qadri was also offered financial support by UP CM Akhilesh Yadav but Qadri refused.
"I will go to meet him (Akhilesh Yadav) and will request him to get my village school recognized by the education board rather," he said.
Qadri has asked his relatives to bury him by his wife’s side when he dies.
