God bless this strip club!
Okay, before your minds get racing in some other direction, let me clarify this for you.
A strip club in the UK has won many accolades from all spheres for rolling a red carpet for a man with an incurable condition.
The man, Harry Butler suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) which made him wheelchair bound. According to the doctors, Butler has already lived past the average life expectancy and can meet his end anytime soon.
The twenty-three-year-old man has now set out on a quest to tick off the items on his bucket list, amongst many of them was going to a strip club.
He was able to tick this off with the help of his mother Alison, aunt Ann Marie and his godmother Maxine. Harry was taken to a premier adult club ‘Secrets’ in Hammersmith. The best part, it was the VIP night at the Secrets that night.
While speaking to Get West London about the staff and the experience, his mum Alison said: "They were amazing, and the girls were so friendly. We didn't spend anything. The entrance was free, drinks were on the house and he even had a few free private dances."
The staff made sure Harry’s table was decorated with Tottenham’s team colors as he was a big fan of the team.
Alison continued: "He can't use his hands and it can be difficult to understand what he's saying, but he still has feelings that other men have - I'm sure if you ask guys between 18 and 30, a lot would say they would go to a strip club. He's never going to have a girlfriend, and he wanted to go to a strip club. It wasn't seedy and the girls were really nice. They came over to him, spoke to him and were so friendly.”
"I just want to say a massive thank you to Secrets for making Harry's night so special. He enjoyed himself so much," she added.
Some of the other things on Harry’s list include- Meeting Simon Cowell, Rita Ora and visiting the players’ lounge at Tottenham.
Amongst the ones he has scratched off his list are – Meeting Ed Sheeran, a trip to Las Vegas and now, a visit to a strip club.
Harry was eight-years-old when he was diagnosed with DMD. It’s a rare illness found only in the males. Those suffering from this incurable condition typically meet their end by late teens or early twenties, according to the DMD Fund.
