Being tired of using the same intel-designed voice machine for over 30 years, renowned theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking started searching for a fresh tone. In order to achieve this, Hawking auditions a group of A-list stars in this rib-tickling clip.
Considering this as a ‘unique’ opportunity, many actors/singers including the likes of Liam Neeson, Felicity Jones, Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, John Boyega, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eddie Redmayne (the actor who played Stephen Hawking in 2014’s the theory of everything) auditioned to become Hawking’s new voice. Of course, it was all just for amusement, as a part of UK’s Comic Relief’s Red Nose day.
After thoroughly examining, Professor Hawking ultimately came to a conclusion and the winner was so pertinent that one thinks why others even concerned themselves with auditions.
