Sony TV Gives One Month Extension To Kapil Sharma To Sort Things Out Or The Show Might Get Scrapped!

It all started with the alleged fight that took place between Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover.

It looks like there are hard days ahead for Kapil Sharma. After the infamous brawl with co-actor Sunil Grover and the damage that happened later, Sony TV has also given Kapil a deadline of one month to put up everything together, or The Kapil Sharma Show might not get renewed.

The Kapil Sharma Show was about to get renewed this month for a whopping 106 crores.

But now, the channel is not in the mood to be lenient towards Kapil and hence the deal is likely to be scrapped. Also, it looks like Kapil's other co-stars Chandan Prabhakar, Ali Asgar, and Sugandha Mishra are not keen on joining the show either.

The reason behind this was the alleged fight that took place between Kapil and Sunil in the Air India flight when the artists were returning back to India from Australia. It was reported that Kapil, under the influence of alcohol, abused Sunil and even hurled a shoe at him.

To compensate Sunil, Chandan, Ali, and Sugandha’s absence, Kapil roped in veteran comedian Raju Shrivastava but even his presence couldn’t manage the dipping TRPs.

“The channel (Sony Entertainment Television) is forced to take this step as these actors have not only refused to shoot, but the ratings of the last two episodes have also been badly hurt by their absence,” reports Economic Times.

Last week, it was also reported that Kapil cancelled the shoot of his show in just 15 minutes after the audience didn't find his jokes funny enough to laugh.

Once considered the King of Indian Comedy, things are certainly not going well for Kapil. We hope that you take some sane decision, Mr Sharma!
