You must have certainly known vending machines to dispense candies, popcorns, potato chips, stuffed toys or well, protection. But would you believe if we tell you that there is a giant vending machine in Singapore that spits out luxury cars?
That’s true, a used car seller company named Autobahn Motors, that started out selling used vehicles in conventional showrooms, opened a futuristic 15-storey showroom in Singapore that looks like a real life kid’s toy box.
Billed as the world’s largest luxury car vending machine, the structure can hold up to 60 high-end vehicles, including luxury cars from Porsche, Ferrari, Bentley and Lamborghini. The cars can be purchased by the customers who visit the location.
Visitors to this unique showroom can complete their purchase via a tablet device and customised app. Customers on the ground floor choose from a touchscreen display which car they wish to see. The car arrives within one to two minutes thanks to an advanced system that manages vehicle retrieval, the company says.
“We needed to meet our requirement of storing a lot of cars. At the same time, we wanted to be creative and innovative,” Gary Hong, General Manager of the company told Reuters.
Hong also said that he was approached by many developers who were interested in using the company's Automotive Inventory Management System for parking services.
