Sara Ali Khan Bags Rohit Shetty's Upcoming Film Starring Ranveer Singh!

The film will be produced by Karan Johar.

Sara Ali Khan is all set to debut in the Hindi film industry with the much talked about 'Kedarnath' with Sushant Singh.

However, before her first film hits the theaters, Sara has already bagged another big budget film. Director Rohit Shetty and producer Karan Johar have roped in Sara as the female lead in Simmba, which also stars Ranveer Singh.  

Earlier, many names like Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, Priya Prakash Varrier were suggested for Sara's role. 

Rohit took to his official Instagram account and posted a picture with the caption, "Sara Ali Khan - The Simmba girl #Simmba #SaraTheSimmbaGirl"

Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions also released an official statement which reads, “After the release of the first poster which featured Ranveer Singh, there was immense curiosity on who would be cast as the film’s female lead. Now it’s confirmed. Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar have signed Sara Ali Khan for the film, which will be directed by Rohit. Sara will be seen opposite Ranveer, who plays the role of a notorious cop Sangram Bhalerao.”

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter is currently busy with her debut film Kedarnath which release on December 21, this year. However, if all things go well, then Sara will get two releases in the span of one week.

Rohit had earlier informed that the film is an official Bollywood remake of Jr NTR’s Telugu films 'Temper' and the rights for which have been already been taken.
