1. Softening Body Scrub


Since salt exfoliates dead skin, it can be used to soften the skin and restore hydration. Mix a quarter cup salt and half a cup of olive oil or coconut oil to make a thick paste. Add 10 drops of essential oil if desired and then gently scrub on your skin in a circular motion.

2. Teeth Whitener

Salt and baking soda are like best friends that will help remove stains and brighten teeth. While salt contains natural source of fluoride, it  also works as bonus for gums and teeth.

3. Nail Brightening Treatment

Salt strengthens nails and softens cuticles. Baking soda and lemon work to reduce the yellowing stains and will result in brighter and healthier looking nails always.

4. Natural Mouthwash

Salt acts as a disinfectant to kill the bacteria that causes bad breath. So mix together half a teaspoon salt,half a teaspoon baking soda and quarter cup water till salt dissolves. Swish the solution into the mouth and between teeth and then spit and rinse.

5. Relaxing Salt Bath

Add one third cup salt to a tub filled with warm water,let it dissolve and soak in for 15 - 30 minutes. Salt absorbs dirt and toxins and cleanses pores deeply. It will also help you in restoring the hydration of the skin.

6. Oil Controlling Facial Toner

Mix one teaspoon of sea salt with four ounces of warm water in small spray bottles until salt is dissolved and mist it on a clean face avoiding the eye area and use once or twice daily. This will help to cleanse your pores and balance oil production.
