Salman Khan is an amazing friend for those in his good books. But those who aren't on good terms with him, Sallu bhai can be a terrible enemy. Vivek Oberoi, anyone?! But now it looks like Arijit Singh has joined Salman's hate list!
According to the media reports, Salman has asked the makers of upcoming film ‘Welcome To New York’ to not use any of the songs that are sung by Arijit Singh.
It appears that the makers of the film, which has Salman in a guest appearance, wanted Arijit to sing a song. Arijit also had already started working on the song and recorded a version, but it was later rejected by the actor.
A tabloid quoted source close to the film, saying, “Arijit has sung the rough scratch of the track which was to be used in the film. However, Salman was quite miffed and he told the makers, ‘Anyone in the fraternity could croon the track but Arijit.'''
The whole fight started way back in 2013 when Arijit was called on the stage by Salman during an award show. After coming on the stage, Arijit said, “Aap logon ne toh sula diya (you put us to sleep)”.
To this, Salman replied, “Aur isme humara koi dosh nahi hai, agar aise gaane bajte rahenge…” and hummed the tune of Arijit’s Tum Hi Ho.
Later, during the time of Kick and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Salman removed Arijit’s recorded songs from the films' album.
In 2016, when Salman did the same for Sultan, Arijit wrote an open letter on Facebook which read, “Please do not remove the song that I sang for you in Sultan… I want to retire with at least one song of you keeping in my library. Please do not take away this feeling.”
However, he deleted the post after some time!
Well, we can only wait and watch what next happens in this battle!
