The actress who played that absolutely adorable little giggling sun is:- (Drum roll please) 21-year old Jess Smith from Chatham, Kent, England. Jess is now a fully-grown woman, in the third year of a dance degree at Canterbury Christ Church University in England. This is what she looks like now:

According to dailymail, Jess Smith first revealed her identity back in 2014, while playing a game with her university friends, where they all had to say something about themselves that no one else would ever guess. Little did her friends knew that they were sitting with the iconic TV sun, whose adorable giggling face rose during the start of every episode of Teletubbies.

Jess gave up her 19-year old secret and confirmed it by sharing photos of her via facebook, where the photos are evident enough to prove that she still has the same cheeky face.
