Ranveer took this rowdy look to become the one-of-his-kind invader Alauddin Khilji in his upcoming film Padmavati.

Ranveer also underwent rigorous physical training to bulk up and look like Alauddin Khilji.

His moustache and bearded look set fashion trends and many youngsters have walked his way to keep thick beard and moustache like him.

In the Instagram live he was looking so nervous and sad that he will be no longer with his beard.

He remembered his last shaving session - when Deepika Padukone giggled like a child while she trimmed his moustache right after Bajirao Mastani he said, "Remember when Deepika did it? She was so happy! I don’t feel like that at all".

He also expressed how attached he is to his facial hair. "It feels like chopping off my own body part", the Ram-Leela actor said.

Ranveer also specified that he is doing it because he was moving on to the next phase of Padmavati, where he will play a young Alauddin Khilji.

He will be soon seen in Padmavati along with Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. However, this will be the first time Ranveer and Deepika will be featured in a film, but not as a couple.
