Twitter had a good laugh on Rahul Gandhi yet again!

The Congress vice-president posted a tweet on the micro-blogging site about his pet dog Pidi. The tweet was in response to detractors who were curious to know who was handling Rahul’s official Twitter account: @OfficeOfRG.

The tweet which is a video where Pidi is seen eating a biscuit placed on the dog’s nose.

While some took it in good humor, others like Assam health and education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma were left fuming.

Sarma took this opportunity to jog up RaGa’s memory on why he left Congress and joined Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP).

After a fallout with the Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi, Sarma quit Congress in July 2014. A year later, he went on to join BJP and assisted in forming Assam’s first government.

The minister was quick to reply and was at his blunt best. He wrote: “Sir @OfficeOfRG, who knows him better than me. Still, remember you busy feeding biscuits 2 him while we wanted to discuss urgent Assam’s issues”.

In an interview a few weeks ago, Sarma expressed how humiliated he was left when RaGa “made it clear the pet was more important to him”.

Kiren Rijiju, union minister of state for home, joined Sarma in the banter. He replied to Sarma saying: “Many Congress (I) leaders also have similar stories but @himantabiswa ji had the spunk to point out & walk out”.

Rijiju, a BJP minister had joined Congress in 2009. But soon went back to BJP in just time of the Lok Sabha elections.
