Just when SRK’s Pakistani fans were eagerly waiting for the release of Raees, a bad news came out from Pakistan’s Censor Board that spoiled the excitement of the fans. Shah Rukh Khan and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan Starrer Raees was all set to hit the screens in Pakistan but the film was banned by the Pakistani Censor Board of Monday for its "inappropriate" portrayal of Muslims.

According to the information, Pakistan’s Censor Board finds that the content in the film undermines Islam and specific religious sentiments. Censor Board also thinks that the film is portraying all the Muslims as criminal and terrorists.

This is not the first time the film is in trouble. Earlier, after Uri terrorist attack deteriorated relations between India and Pakistan, all the Pakistani artists were banned in India. Due to this, the film’s lead actress Mahira Khan was not allowed to promote the film in India.
