Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Sunday, paid rich tributes to the great Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his 368th birth anniversary.
In a series of tweets, the Prime Minister further said that the well-being of the people was the top priority of the 'ideal ruler' and 'great administrator'.
"I wish everyone on the anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. India is proud that a brave man and great personality like him was born on this land," the Prime Minister tweeted.
“We are working tirelessly to fulfill the ideals of Shivaji Maharaj and create an India that he would be proud of,” he later added.
The day is also known as Shiv Jayanti and holds utmost importance in Maharashtra.
