No Man’s Sky was announced with much fanfare in 2013. Its basic premise envisions the gamer as a space-explorer and allows you to explore more than 18 quintillion planets!
That’s 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 planets, you guys!
Do you know how much time it will take to do that? According to the game’s developers, north of 500 billion years!
This was all made possible through a procedurally generated deterministic open universe, whatever that means.
Coming to the point, as the game hit the shelves earlier this month, it was marred by poor reviews owing to lack of activity and repetition. Sure, the exploration part was a nice touch when you get to see different plant and animal species but frankly, there’s nothing more.
So, how does one keep up the excitement? By discovering, ahem, different things, of course.
As some gamers pointed out the oddly shaped plants strewn across the game, people started taking notice and very conveniently named them, you guessed it, “Penis Bouquets.” Because why not?
The game now also has the distinction of getting the Honest Trailer treatment.
Really developers? You could have done so much!
