When a massive fire kills their parents, three children are delivered to the custody of cousin and stage actor Count Olaf, who under the impression of the world will now take care of the Baudelaire kids.
Becuase he isn’t their affable cousin who takes the orphans under his wing but is only after their rich fortune. He is a “thief and a murderer” who “has so far escaped capture.” However, that is just not it. In the short trailer released by Netflix, Count Olaf assures the Baudelaires that they “haven’t the faintest idea” of the various tortures in store for the poor kids.

Netflix’s adaptation of Lemony Snicket’s clever book series will feature as our Oh-so-favourite Barney Stinson as the sinister Count Olaf and his looks are also in coherence to crude role that he will be essaying. They plan to launch the series on January 13th and it also stars Malina Weissman and Louis Hynes as Violet and Klaus Baudelaire.
Earlier this ill-fated story was brought to life by none other than Jim Carrey, who played the evil villain to the hilt. And has practically set a benchmark for Harris to break.
