Nawazuddin Siddiqui is seen endorsing a Japanese brand Kenwood in Pakistan. He has also acted in three advertisements for the brand. But all not going well with the recently released advertisement as it is receiving backlash for promoting domestic violence.
The ad shows Nawazuddin Siddiqui chatting with friends and bragging about beating his wife.
Twitterati has taken the meaning of the commercial to another level and showed displeasure by branding the ad as sexist.
However, some believe that the ad should have taken in a way that washing clothes are also the responsibility of the man of the house and the word ‘Dhulai’ is referred for washing clothes.
