San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) is the mecca for lovers of comic books and the movies based on them.

Every year in July, hundreds of thousands of fans descend upon the city of San Diego to show their love for two of the most revered media of storytelling.

The SDCC, that’s held at the San Diego Convention Centre, is arguably most famous for the presentations at its HALL-H. This is the place where most, if not all, movie studios bring out their big guns (read movies) for the time to come and movie stars turn the place into a temple for thousands who live and breathe the media.

This year’s Comic Con had studios bringing out teasers for some of the biggest movies and TV shows that will be out in the next year and we have compiled a list of the most enticing ones for your pleasure:

1. Justice League (Release: November 2017)

Inarguably the biggest surprise was the teaser for Justice League that will star Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg!

2. Dr. Strange (Release: November 2016)

The first full length for the trippy ‘Marvel Studios’ feature stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular Dr. Stephen Strange, who seeks out The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton), to become a master of the mystic arts.

3. Sherlock - Season 4 (Release: Undisclosed)

Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) returns after what many consider to be a weak Season 3, with a vengeance. He faces demons from both past and present to unravel new mysteries.

4. Wonder Woman (Release: June 2017)

Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot won the hearts of many by her brief appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (BvS). Now, her own movie will seek to present her origin story and connect it to the events of both BvS as well as Justice League.

5. The Walking Dead - Season 7 (Release: October 2016)

The massive cliffhanger at the season finale for Season 6 left many people high and dry. Who did Negan kill? Who survived? There are questions aplenty and no answers to be found!

6. Luke Cage – Season 1 (Release: September 2016)

The indestructible man, played by Mike Colter, returns to headline his own series after his winning turn in ‘Jessica Jones’. This will be an origin story as well as a continuation of the events from both ‘Jessica Jones’ as well as ‘Daredevil – Season 2’.

7. Iron Fist – Season 1 (Release: Undisclosed)

The origin story of Danny Rand, the fourth member of the Marvel comic super-team, ‘The Defenders’, which also consists of Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, the series will premiere sometime next year. It will tell the story of Rand, who after losing his millionaire parents in a plane crash, is trained by Buddhist monks in the arts of kung fu and mysticism. He will be played by Finn Jones, most famous for his appearance in Game of Thrones as Ser Loras Tyrell.
