Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon starrer Raabta is all set to hit the screens but it seems like the way towards theatres it not so easy for the makers of the film.
Directed by Dinesh Vijan, the film is in trouble as the makers of SS Rajamouli-directed Magadheera have approached the Hyderabad court to seek an injunction against the film’s release.
Producers of the film Magadheera claim that Raabta has copied its story and plot line.
According to some media reports, Hyderabad Court has already issued notice and postponed the matter to 1st June, the court will then decide to whether the film must be permitted to release on 9 June or not.
Raabta has been written by Siddharth Singh and Garima Wahal. The writer duo for Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ramleela while talking to Scroll said, "Two lovers meeting across time is a template of a past-life film. So if someone is saying that Raabta reminds them of Magadheera, then it should also remind them of every other past-life film that has ever been made in the country. People have also compared it to Mirzya".
Indian movie trade analyst Ramesh Bala, also confirmed that the makers of ‘Magadheera’ have gone to the court.
