An awful and heart-wrenching incident occurred in Lucknow on Thursday when some unidentified goons gangraped and threw acid on a 35-year-old Dalit woman while she was travelling through the Ganga-Gomti Express.

Their wickedness doesn’t end here: they forcibly fed acid to the victim before escaping

Lucknow police is yet to identify and book the perpetrators.

This incident occurred when the victim was travelling back to Lucknow from Rae Bareilly after meeting relatives.

According to the witnesses, two unidentified men boarded the train from Mohanlalganj in Lucknow. The minute they reached the victim’s coach they attacked her.

After raping her, the two attackers forced acid down her throat. After the victim went unconscious they left the coach and ran away.

The victim was immediately rushed to King George Medical Hospital by the Government Railway Police (GRP). According to the doctors, her condition remains critical.

On Friday (March 24), UP Chief Minister of Yogi Adityanath, visited the hospital and assured the victim that he will investigate the matter.

Talking to Youth Ki Awaaz the victim expressed that since the incident took place she is getting multiple threats to drop the case.

She told Youth Ki Awaaz, “If they did not spare me, why will they spare my young daughter? The police never ever tried to provide protection to my family while people who raped me regularly threaten my husband and even call after snatching his mobile phone. Every day I wake up with fear. I cannot sleep and work properly as my mind is occupied with the past thoughts.”
