The battle between the ace tennis star Leander Paes and his estranged wife Rhea Pillai is still on! The couple has failed to do an out-of-court settlement, after which the Supreme Court expressed readiness to adjudicate it.
Both of them have prepared their own terms of agreement regarding a house, payment of maintenance and custody of the child. Nevertheless, the broken couple couldn’t stand on the common ground despite six sitings.
Reportedly Pillai’s counsel told the bench that she had asked for a house but Paes was not agreeable to it.
According to a report published in mid-day, the bench has now decided to recuse from hearing the matter as Justice Mishra observed, "Since we have heard the matter in the chamber. We know so many things, it may influence."
Earlier the Court had ordered the two to appear before its mediation cell to settle their dispute. But, attempts have failed for an amicable settlement.
