There is absolutely no denying to the fact that Lady Gaga dazzled the entire world with her high-octane halftime performance at the Super Bowl. But, that was on Sunday. So, now how can Lady Gaga top her Super Bowl performance? Simple, by performing with the rock gods Metallica at the Grammy awards.
Yes, it’s happening. A Gaga fan on Tuesday posted a brief clip on twitter from one of CBS’s Grammy Awards promos, which announced that the 'Mother Monster' (A nickname given to Gaga by her fans) will be joining forces with the rock legends Metallica for a once-in-a-lifetime duet.
Following her highly-praised halftime performance set during the Super Bowl in Houston, Texas, this star-studded duet will definitely cap off a huge week for Gaga who shortly after the performance in Super Bowl announced her ‘Joanne World Tour’.
This Sunday’s Grammys could also turn out to be a huge night for the rock band Metallica, whose comeback track 'Hardwired' is up in the Best Rock Song category.
Aside from the Metallica and Lady Gaga duet, the award show will also feature the reunion of The Weekend and Daft Punk along with Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood. There will also be a tribute to the Bee Gees featuring singer-songwriter Andra Day and pop divas Demi Lovato and Tori Kelly.
The all-star lineup will also include Adele, Katy Perry, John Legend, Lukas Graham, Bruno Mars, Alicia Keys, Chance The Rapper, Cynthia Erivo and possibly even Beyonce.
James Corden will be the host for the 59th annual Grammy Awards that will air on CBS live from the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California on Sunday, February 12th.
