From best friends to worst friends Carrie Bradshaw and Samantha Jones’s ugly rift is public now.
The two Sex and the City stars have been sharing a difficult relationship with each other for a very long time. However, this took an ugly turn when Kim Cattrall (who plays Samantha) called out Sarah Jessica Parker on Instagram accusing her of trying to restore her ‘nice girl’ image.
Kim took to Instagram to announce that her brother, who went missing a couple of days back, was found dead.
Just like everyone, Sarah also expressed her heartfelt condolences for Kim's personal loss.
But Kim didn’t like her sympathy and took a screenshot of her reply and posted saying, “I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker”.
She also captioned the image, “My Mom asked me today “When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?” Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.”
Kim’s outrage on social media raised many questions.
HollywoodLife quoted a source from the popular 90s show saying, “Sarah was really shocked by Kim’s reaction, but she’s marking it down to raw emotions during a difficult time. Sarah certainly won’t be reaching out with an olive branch ever again, that was her final attempt. Sarah does plan on clapping back though, once the dust has settled and a little time has passed, Sarah is determined to get her side of the story across—and, not surprisingly, her side is very different to Kim’s. Sarah refuses to be portrayed as some kind of mean girl when in truth she’s far from it.”
It is also said that Kim was one of the major reasons why the third installment of the film was canceled.
