Kerala Youth Tries The Baahubali 2 Elephant Stunt And Gets Flung In The Air

The incident, which happened on Sunday, came to light thanks to Facebook live.

Kerala, Bahubali 2, elephant stunt, Thodupuzha

People ignoring the disclaimer, “all stunts are performed by professionals under expert supervision, do not try to imitate them”, is not a new phenomenon in India. But this Kerala youth just took ignorance to another level.

He tried to imitate the elephant stunt from the 2017 blockbuster Bahubali 2, only to be flung in the air at the hands of the mammoth.

Did nobody tell him about VFX?? Like seriously!

Idealizing a movie character is one thing, but trying to imitate unrealistic stunts is sheer stupidity.

The Thodupuzha native should consider himself lucky to be alive after trying to imitate the elephant stunt scene from Baahubali 2 by mounting a tusker via running up its trunk.

The youth, who was allegedly intoxicated, is seen approaching the elephant and trying to befriend it by feeding him fruits. He then holds the elephant's tusks, steps on its trunk and attempts to clamber up.

After feeding the elephant, the man holds both its tusks and leans forward to kiss the animal on its trunk. His first attempt turns out to be a success. Elated, the man tries to do the same again. As he does it, the man's friends who are live-streaming the entire incident on Facebook, warn him.

"Don't do it, you are drunk, don't do it. The elephant will get mad," one of the men says.

However, the man proceeds. And moments later, he was lying in a clump on the ground, ten feet away.

The animal, who was friendly initially, gets irritable and decides to show the youth, who the real Bahubali is, by flinging the man in the air like a rubber ball. The youth lands awkwardly a few meters away and his friends find him unconscious when they approach him.

The incident, which happened on Sunday, came to light thanks to Facebook live. The video has gone viral and is being shared widely on social media platforms.

Reports claim the youth was hospitalised and is currently recuperating. Here's hoping he has learnt his lesson and won't be attempting any daredevil stunts anytime soon.
