“Star Plus is in a bid to recreate the magic of Khichdi. With no comedy show in its kitty, the channel wants to pump up its dropped ratings and has decided to place its bet on Khichi. The show had worked wonders and they are confident that the new season will once again rule the audience’s heart," reported Indian Express.

Khichdi was the only TV serial in the history of Indian entertainment industry which was made into a film called ‘Khichdi: The Movie’.
