Following the drought faced by Iran, its army general has incriminated Israel for stealing its clouds. Brigadier General Gholam Reza Jalali, who is the head of Iran’s Civil Defence Organisation said that Israel is conspiring to stealing their clouds by exploiting weather to cause drought.
While suspecting foul play in the droughts faced by his country, the general said, “Foreign interference is suspected to have played a role in climate change.”
He even said that the Iranian scientific study confirms his claim.
The General, while furthering his accusations said, “Israel and another country in the region have joint teams which work to ensure clouds entering Iranian skies are unable to release rain.”
“On top of that, we are facing the issue of cloud and snow theft,” he said.
Mentioning a study, Jalali said that all mountain regions between Afghanistan and the Mediterranean ranging 7200 feet are covered with snow, except Iran.
Head of Iran’s meteorological service, Ahad Vazife, though rubbished Jalali’s claims by saying that, “General Jalali probably has documents of which I am not aware, but on the basis of meteorological knowledge, it is not possible for a country to steal snow or clouds.”
Vazife also said, “Iran has suffered a prolonged drought, and this is a global trend that does not apply only to Iran.” Further adding,”Raising such questions not only does not solve any of our problems but will deter us from finding the right solutions.”
This is not the first time that the Iranian officials have accused its enemy country for stealing its rains.
Earlier in 2011, Former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had accused the Western countries of conspiring to cause droughts in Iran. The former president had claimed, “European countries used special equipment to force clouds to dump' their water on their continent.”

“Today our country is moving towards drought, which is partly unintentional due to industry and partly intentional, as a result of the enemy destroying the clouds moving towards our country and this is a war that Iran is going to overcome," he said.
In another accusation, the Iranian leader had also claimed that the Western countries were trying to weaken the developing world by creating HIV virus and then creating pharmaceuticals markets in these countries.
