The 75th Golden Globes award night saw a funny moment when The Greatest Showman’s lead actor Hugh Jackman lost the ‘Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy’ to James Franco.

Franco of the ‘The Disaster Artist’ won th e award for portraying the character of Tommy Wiseau, maker of the movie ‘The Room’.

Other contenders for the award were: Steve Carrell from Battle of the Sexes, Ansel Elgort of Baby Driver, and Daniel Kaluuya from Get Out. Franco beat past all to claim the award.

While winning and losing is a thing of any award function, it was hilarious to see Hugh Jackman react the way he did on Franco’s win. Caught on camera for a couple of seconds, it was just enough for the world to notice and chatter about it.

Jackman’s tells-it-all expression could not have been any more honest. Some say it was intentional, but duh, we know the cutesy actor has never had any room for pretense and that’s what makes us love him!

Now if you’re thinking this was the highlight of the win, hold on.

When Franco walked up to the stage to collect the award, Wiseau joined him and what happened after it was absolutely distasteful.

James denied Wiseau a chance at the mic. Yes, he literally shoved Wiseau’s hand off the mic when the latter attempted to talk.

As if it wasn’t too much already, Franco opened his speech quoting the thought of Wiseau about the event, saying: “Golden Globes, so what? I’m not invited. I know they don’t want me, a guy with an accent, long hair. So I show them. I don’t wait for Hollywood, I make my own movie.”

A miffed Wiseau told the Los Angeles Times that he was denied delivering his message, for it would have been, “If a lot of people loved each other, the world would be a better place to live. See ‘The Room,’ have fun, and enjoy life. The American Dream is alive, and it’s real.”

If nothing, we know it’s Franco’s speech (read: foot in the mouth moment) that got Jackman reacting the way he did!
