Yannick Vicente is a French artist and father of 4-year-old Anae. He has illustrated over 14 children’s books with his vibrant designs.
He has been gaining a steady following on Facebook for a while now with his heartwarming cartoons about the challenges in the life of a single father.
Designed as day-to-day interactions between the artist and his daughter, these works are simple yet exceedingly touching.
Vicente has over 11,000 followers on Facebook at present. Encouraged by the support, he plans to bring out a book narrating his own experiences with parenthood, titled Pap’art. To generate funding for this book, he has also started a Kickstarter project which you can check out here.
Anae, he say, is too young to understand all this but hopes that when she grows up, she will be able to see and appreciate them. As of now, she does understand that her father draws himself rather thinner than he actually is!
The expression of sheer simplicity and sentiment behind each picture is Vicente’s forte and we wish him the very best in his endeavour!
