The first trailer for the highly anticipated Kong: Skull Island has been released.
The movie stars Tom Hiddleston as a part of a team of researchers in the 1970s, who venture deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific—as beautiful as it is treacherous—unaware that they are crossing into the domain of the mythical giant gorilla known as "Kong".
Kong is considered to be the king and the protector of that island and human interference on his domain is not met with a pleasant reception.
However, there are far more dangerous things lurking deep inside the belly of the mysterious land and the team of humans must work together with Kong to emerge unscathed.
The movie is second in the now-a-franchise, dubbed as the Godzilla-Kong Trilogy, that saw the release of Godzilla in 2014 and will see the Great Kong going against the mutant dinosaur in 2020 in the culminating chapter.
The movie also stars this year's Best Actress Oscar winner Brie Larson, with Sam "Muthafuckin" Jackson, John Goodman and John C. Reilly, among others, for company.
