India got to witness another protest led by the farmers in the Ninder Village of Rajasthan. It’s sad to see farmers coming up with unique ideas of protest because this clearly indicates the ignorance of our government.
By burying themselves half, the main objective of the farmers was to throw light on the negligent behaviour of Government.
Anxious about the current situation, one farmer said,
The government has not provided any help to us yet. Farmers' health is suffering. No one is listening to our plight. The government is showing the negligent behaviour.
The farmers had to attempt this extreme-level of strike so that their plight gets heard. The strike was against the acquisition of their lands by the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) for housing projects.
The farmers performing 'Samadhi Satyagraha' said,
If the government takes our land, they will take away our lives.
In the year 2011, the Jaipur Development Authority had allegedly acquired 1300 acres of land and since then the farmers have been protesting against it by coming up with new tactics.
