After reading this every Potterhead would want to scoot off to Philadelphia! Why? Chestnut Hill, which has an uncanny resemblance with Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, will turn magical and the by-lanes of Philly will again transform into Hogsmeade this October when the Chestnut Hill Business Association and Chestnut Hill College host the annual Chestnut Hill Harry Potter Weekend just like last year!
Dumbledore will kick start the festival with Quidditch players, costumed characters, music and fun. The celebrations will begin with the screening of Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone and the (adult only) Harry Potter Pub Crawl and Scavenger Hunt will be held in the evening.
On the Friday night, young wannabe wizards can take a Defense Against the Dark Arts class!
The kids who want to bunk, can sneak into the Leaky Cauldron and have a butterbeer or two!
As you enter the Sorting Hat Sorts you into one of the four Houses. Later, you can watch the train arrive from Station 9 & 1/2, check out Quidditch games, explore the maze of the Triwizard Tourney, play Wizard's Chess, Hunt for the Horcruxes, and enjoy readings, potions, films, spells and more!
