Pushpa Private Limited, a company which supplied oxygen, cut the supply to Gorakhpur's Baba Raghav Das (BRD) Medical College over outstanding bills amounting to Rs 68 lakh. The hospital was notified several times in the past but did nothing. This resulted in the death of 60 children and has caused nationwide public outrage questioning the inefficiency of the regime with many calling for resignations of the people concerned.

2. A large gathering of white nationalists expected in US

Now, according to some reports, a white nationalist rally, biggest in recent years, is expected to take place on Saturday at Charlottesville, Virginia. 3. JD(U) removes Sharad Yadav from Rajya Sabha

Sharad Yadav, who had been making daily statements against Nitish Kumar and his move to break the mahagathbandhan and get the support of BJP, was today removed by the Janata Dal (United) party as their Rajya Sabha leader. "The party has made a decision. He (Sharad Yadav) should accept it," said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

4. Jammu Kashmir Liberation League Europe calls out exploitation in PoK

5. Soldier injured in terrorist attack in North Kashmir

A soldier was injured when terrorists attacked an Army camp in Kupwara district in North Kashmir housing 21 JAK rifles and 41 RR. The attack was reportedly met with retaliation from the army and a subsequent manhunt was launched. As of now, no terrorist has be captured/killed by the forces.

8. Indian Railways to launch more trains

Indian Railways has announced launch of several new trains in UP, Odisha, Bihar, Punjab, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Jammu & Kashmir. 9. Leaked benchmarks reveal Galaxy Note 8 packing 6GB Ram

According to specifications spotted on popular benchmarking site Geekbench, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has been spotted with Exynos 8895 chipset and 6 GB RAM, thus confirming previous leaks. 10. Study says artificial sweeteners may increase risk of diabetes

A study published in Current Biology journal indicates that eating diet foods and artificial sweeteners may trigger weight gain and up the risk of diabetes, as their sweet taste fools the body's metabolism into believing that we are consuming more calories. "Calories are only half of the equation; sweet taste perception is the other half," said a scientist.
