Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is making headlines yet again for all the ‘right reasons’. In a situation, where Rahul Gandhi is facing a rather tough time in his political career due to back to back electoral setbacks, one student from Madhya Pradesh has proposed Rahul Gandhi’s name in the Guinness Book of World Records for losing the maximum number of elections in the country.
According to The Financial Express, Vishal Diwan, an engineering student from Hoshangabad has written to the administration of Guinness Book of World Records, requesting them to enlist Rahul Gandhi’s name for losing as many as 27 elections in the country.
Diwan has also paid the enrollment fees for the same. Moreover, Diwan has received the confirmation of acceptance of his application, but the US-based record book is yet to confirm whether it will approve such a request or not.
Diwan believes that Rahul Gandhi’s active participation in the election campaigning and media interactions were the main cause behind Congress party’s losing spree in last five years. As a matter of fact, this number of back to back losses in the elections are more than enough to get qualified for the record book.
Rahul Gandhi frequently becomes the butt of all jokes on social media because of his statements and political knowledge. Recently, he was massively trolled on the social networking sites when he forgot the total number of seats in Uttar Pradesh Assembly at a joint press conference with the president of Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav.
