There are always jokes around IITians always being single, so these engineers seemed pretty lonely this Valentine's. But they turned it around creatively, and Ed Sheeran helped them.
The students of the choreography and dance section of IIT-Roorkee joined hands with Cinesec, a group of video enthusiasts, to create the “less-lonely Valentine's day” version of the hit song 'Shape of You'!
The video follows students Meet Saparia, Satyabrat Panda, Sambhav Jain and Devarsh Tiwari, as they dance to Sheeran’s tunes in a bid to woo a girl, Priya Ajania. The video was directed by Ankush Raut.
Main choreographer, Meet told India Today, "Cinesec, a group of video enthusiasts in the campus, approached our choreography group to make a dance video for Valentine's day and we said let's do it."
The video was mostly shot in the IIT Roorkee campus, and rest in nearby cafes. When asked about the process of conceptualisation, Meet said that they had initially sat down to finalise the song, and once decided, they choreographed in bits and pieces, shot those sequences hand-in-hand and got them edited.
"We still feel all this is a dream," Saparia said.
Kudos Guys! we are jealous of all the flowing talent!
